Teen Driver’s education is broken down into two separate phases. During phase one the student will receive 16 days of classroom instruction. Our classroom experience is lead by a highly qualified instructor, certified through the Texas Education Agency. Street Smart has centered our teaching around the guidelines for TEKS, Texas Essentials of Knowledge and Skills, as approved by the state legislation. During the second phase of training the student will apply the knowledge and skills learned in the classroom through the use of simulators and in-car training. Texas State Law requires that all teenage driving students participate in 7 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction and 7 hours of in-car observation.
